Junior Achievement (JA) is the world’s largest and fastest-growing organization dedicated to educating young people about business, economics, and free enterprise.
JA is a non-profit organization founded in 1919 on the premise ‘who better to teach kids about business than business’.
It is a network of more than 115 countries worldwide that form the Junior Achievement organization. JA Tanzania joined the Junior Achievement Worldwide in December 1998.
Since 1919, Junior Achievement's purpose has been to educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise and understand business and economics to improve the quality of their lives.
Since 1998, Junior Achievement Tanzania has impacted over 20,000 students with more than 1400 business professionals and volunteers entering schools to teach Junior Achievement programs. These volunteers use international programs and their personal experiences to make the Junior Achievement curricula practical and realistic. Providing future leaders with positive adult role models, who illustrate ways to build self-confidence, develop a skilled and talented workforce, motivate a generation of responsible citizens and secure our future economic prosperity..

JA Tanzania mission is to inspire and educate young people to develop entrepreneurial and life skills through learning by doing and through committed staff and volunteer to make a positive contribution to Tanzania economy.
Purpose
The purpose of JA Tanzania is to prepare young people for life after school by realizing their awareness of economic issues, teaching them entrepreneurial and life skills providing them with an understanding of the business world and end enhancing their sense of personal responsibility through practical business experience.

How do I became part of JA Tanzania programmes?
Our programmes are open to learners from 4 – 25 years. Use the below contacts telephone and email or visit our office at Quality Plaza, Nyerere Road or Pugu Road Second floor.
How much am I required to pay to be part of the programmes?
There is no fee charged to be part of the programme. Programmes are mainly sponsored by companies, foundations and individuals. Choose today to sponsor youth around you.
What skills will I acquire at the end of the program?
There is variety of skills that learners acquire from our programs. Over and above the basic knowledge on how to start a business, learners gain the necessary confidence and life skill to manage life outside of school.
How do I become a volunteer?
We welcome volunteers to facilitate our programs. If you have passion for enterprise education and youth issues, please contact us. There is no salary for volunteers, though we pay basic allowance for transport costs.
